About us
Our aim at Ready, Steady, Grow is to provide a safe and loving environment in which to facilitate growth and learning for children ages 3 months - 5 years. We want to make your child's first 'school' experience a good and positive one, so that they acquire a love for learning that they will carry with them for the rest of their educational path. We prepare and structure our environment to grow well-balanced , independent and confident children. It is a homely environment where lots of learning and laughter happens.
We follow the South African Montessori Curriculum that is approved and used throughout South Africa. It is a very comprehensive and balanced curriculum covering all areas of learning.
Here we strive that Ready Steady Grow becomes an extension of your home, the children's home away from home.
Ready, Steady, Grow was opened in 1998. Debbie took over in 2001 and in 2003 we switched over to the Montessori way of teaching.
We are a homebased school/daycare. The school has it's own garden where the children can play. There is three areas, The Nest - Baby Daycare 3 months to around 18 months with Monkeys 18 months up to age 3, the Seahorse Class from age 3 up to age 5 and Aftercare from Grade R up. We have a small child to adult ratio in our school to ensure that each child gets individual attention that they need. We offer 1/2 day option until 12:30pm (Nest and Monkeys)13h00 for Seahorses, 3/4 day option until 2:30pm and Full Day for collection up to 5:30pm. We are open from 7:00am until 5:30pm. With optional care until 18h00.
Helping Parents
We provide all snacks, juice and meals so that it is a hassle free experience for parents. Most of our outings and activities are structured in such a way that working parents can join in over weekends. We are a family orientated center and we have an open door policy that parents are welcome to visit at any time.
Communication
We believe in open communication and the right for parents to known what their children are doing in class. We use Transparent Classroom which is updated on a regular basis and parents have access to their child's information and progress.
